Histology is a subdiscipline of medicine and biology and is principally concerned with microscopic analyses of tissue samples. Routine stainings allow the differentiation of tissue structures and serve as classification, early diagnosis and disease verification. The main steps during tissue processing include chemical fixation, paraffin embedding, preparation of micrometer thin tissue sections using a microtome, staining and microscopic investigation of the sample.
For all processing steps during histological sample preparation, we offer standard reagents, equipment and devices. With our network of partners, we guarantee high quality products and competitive prices. Our partners include: Sakura Finetek, Zeiss, Labomed, BioGnost.
Cytology (more specifically cytodiagnostics/cytopathology) is described by microscopical analyses of smears, biopsies or punctures on a cellular level. Generally, the preparation of cell material is conducted in three steps: chemical fixation, staining and microscopic examination. For all processing steps during sample preparation, we offer commonly used reagents, devices and equipment at an excellent price/performance ratio. Our portfolio includes gynecological and extragenital cytology products covered by our partners, e.g. Sakura Finetek, Zeiss, Labomed, BioGnost.

Microscope donation by Histo-Partner / Science Services ensures enthusiasm in the Senegalese mother-child house
On his project trip to Senegal, Dr. Gerhard Gensthaler, project coordinator at APOTHEKER HELFEN e.V., brought two microscopes to the Maternité in Medina Thioub which were sponsored by Histo-Partner / Science Services. The mother-child house, which was opened in January 2016, is part of the health center of the Senegalese village.
For the presentation, the lunch break was rescheduled. "One of the employees immediately donated a drop of blood, which we all watched with great enthusiasm in various magnifications", reports Mr. Gensthaler. The head of the Maternité team immediately made a list of possible applications for the microscopes.
Science Services is pleased that the donated microscopes have been well received. We wish you all the best for the future of the Maternité and thank you for the good cooperation with APOTHEKER HELFEN e.V.
